East Selkirk School We-Go Swing

Lisgar Lodge have committed to donate funds towards the purchase of a "We-Go" Swing to enable children with disabilities such as those in wheelchairs to be able to access and children are presently lifted onto a normal sized circular swing but in most cases are laying down on the swing with no benefit. Children with such disabilities are often overlooked. The cost $120,000 to purchase and install has increased over recent times from $80,000 due to increased costs such as tariffs etc. The school and supporting benefactors such as The Selkirk Community Fund, individual children selling lemonade over the summer, School Parents Council have achieved the sum collection of approximately $60,000 leaving $60,000 outstanding.
